- Memory Content: Photos, descriptions, locations, dates, and tags you add to your memories.
- Collaborative Content: Content you contribute to shared memories, including photos and stories.
Information Collected Automatically
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect location data to show your position on the map and to help tag your memories with accurate locations.
- Photo Library Access: With your permission, we access your photo library to import photos into your memories. We only access photos you explicitly select.
- Usage Data: Basic app usage information to improve our services.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Life Map service
- To display your memories on the interactive globe
- To enable collaborative memory sharing with others
- To provide AI-powered travel recommendations (when you use this feature)
- To process in-app purchases and subscriptions

- Supabase: For secure data storage and authentication for collaborative features
- Mapbox: For map display and location services
- OpenAI: For AI-powered travel recommendations (your prompts are processed but not stored)
- Apple App Store: For processing subscriptions and payments
Data Storage and Security
- Your memories and photos are stored locally on your device
- Collaborative memory data is stored securely on Supabase servers with encryption
- We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data
- Your Apple ID credentials are handled securely by Apple and never stored by us
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share your data:
- When you explicitly choose to share memories with others through collaborative features
- With service providers necessary to operate the app (as listed above)
- When required by law or to protect our rights
Your Rights and Choices
- Location Access: You can enable or disable location access in your device settings
- Photo Access: You can manage photo library access in your device settings
- Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
- Data Export: You can request a copy of your data by contacting us
Children's Privacy
Life Map is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
